Saturday we decided to take a trip
with the little girlees and head to Tulsa.
We started out on the Will Rogers Turnpike and stopped at the World’s Largest McDonald’s.
Inside the lobby there is a mini-Will Rogers Museum.
I’m kinda partial to Will Rogers. He was a man of great character, whit and um, well, I went to Will Rogers Elementary School in Santa Monica, CA!
I didn’t know the difference between Will Rogers and Roy Rogers at the time… but I do now!
It had been so long since we had been that way that we went too far and missed the turnoff.
First stop was the Tulsa Flea Market at the Fairgrounds.
Time for lunch so we stopped at a Subway.
On the way back to the car, Pop spied this donut shoppe. and stepped inside to get some goodies for the girlees.
I spied the sky.
Wasn’t it a gorgeous day???
Next up was the Tulsa Aquarium
It’s real name is the Oklahoma Aquarium!
Jay didn’t know that all injectible medicines are tested with the blood of the Horseshoe Crab. Did you?
There he is!
Oooooooo, the famous Moray Eel:
This is the first time I’ve noticed,
Pop wore a fishing shirt to the Aquarium.
Look at their little friend!!!
Shark Attack!
Aaaaaa-a-a-aahhhhh-h-cccccc-c-ckkk-k-k!!!
You can tell who’s the big sister here… and everybody knows it!
Nana and Pop and 3 of the grands!!!
Hmmmmm, these two kinda look alike:
After a few errands, we spied dinner:
Oh my, we love our Jack in the Box Tacos!!!
After ordering a few…
We ordered just as many to take home!
As we exited the turnpike on the way home,
we were treated to the most unbelievable
HUGE rainbow!
Although you can only see a small corner of it,
it was gigantic!
