H was only 6 months old in 2006,
so we didn't put her up on Pop's shoulders.
But here she is, 3½ in 2009!

A man walked by as we were taking this next pic
and just oozed and fussed about
Jay and Christy and the girlees,
"This is "The American Family"!!
He went on and on!
And an odd statement he injected in the middle was,
"And NO tattoos!!!"
We have been joking about that ever since.

and plan to take photos with
the "Make Way for Ducklings" statues
in the Public Gardens that will "match"
with one taken in 1989 and another from 1999.
Come back and see in a couple weeks...

HAHAHA!!!
Hello,
I saw your comments/questions on another blog about visiting Laura Ingalls Wilders home in Mansfield. My daughter & I just got back from a short trip to see Laura's house & stayed in the very cabins that Bella & family stayed in. They are called Mansfield Woods, their website is www.manfieldwoods.net & the phone number is 417-924-1345. We were a bit apprehensive about the cabins, but other than a small roadside motel that we did not want to utilize, there are no other lodging options in Mansfield. We loved the cabin & would go back in a heartbeat. They are quite small, but charming & very clean. My adult daughter & I made out quite well in it, but I cannot imagine having more than one other person occupying the space. There is also no TV, which for us, was absolutely fine, but might give someone else pause. If you go, check out Baker Creek Heirloom seed company which is also in the area. I am not much of a gardener, but a friend is & about had a case of the vapors when I told her we were going to Mansfield & all but insisted we stop in. We did & enjoyed our visit. If you have any questions, please contact me at kathyhaven29@aol.com. P.S. If you go, the proprietess of the cabins will tell you to buy chigger spray that she has available. I didn't listen & wish I had. Buy the spray.....
